Eid-ul-Adha (' holiday of Sacrifice'), also called the Greater Eid, is the second most significant festival in the Muslim calendar.The festival recalls the prophet Ibrahim's readiness to give his son when he was ordered by God to.
The story of Ibrahim's sacrifice:
Eid ul Adha celebrates the event when Allah ordered him to sacrifice his son Isma'il as an action of obedience and seemed in a dream to Ibrahim.
Ibrahim tempted by saying he spare his son and should disobey Allah. As Ibrahim was going to kill his son, him stopped and gave him a lamb to give instead.
Note: Isma'il was his son.
Celebrations:
